I used a few of the latest AI tools to create my mild-mannered alter ego and then gave him mutant powers. But under the fun was a real point. We’re all wrestling with what these tools mean for creativity, identity, and power.

It’s easy to get swept up in what AI can do. It can generate. It can imitate. It can accelerate. But some things, especially the ones that shape how we see ourselves, are still best crafted by a human hand.

In this case, AI helped me visualize an idea I already had in mind. It didn’t replace the idea. It didn’t write the story. It simply helped me tell it faster and more vividly.

So, here he is. Friendly. Thoughtful. Buttoned-up. The kind of guy who holds doors open, files bug reports in complete sentences, and uses semicolons correctly.

Mild-Mannered Alter Ego

Hey, I’m Alex Thieme. I design and build technical systems, lead product strategy, and write clearly about complex ideas. Lately, my work has focused on AI tools, introspection frameworks, crypto infrastructure, and writing a speculative TV series about memory, identity, and control.

Power Signature

But you can call me Momentum, or “The Evolution Of Change.” I don’t conquer systems. I align them. I don’t break reality. I tune it until it works better for everyone. I speak in patterns. I build with intention. I leave clarity in my wake.

Primary Powers

I shift outcomes, so change arrives as understanding, not destruction. I translate confusion into coherence. I can align data with intuition, and logic with emotion. I operate in parallel, not to overwhelm, but to balance. Each self contributes without chaos. Together, we resolve complexity into clarity.

Limitations

We all have them. They’re not weaknesses. My power depends on coherence. If a system rejects alignment or thrives in contradiction, I must choose: adapt slowly, or walk away. While I can map complexity instantly, helping others see it takes time. I can’t force insight. I can only hold the door open.

Rootcause

Or, am I Rootcause, Architect of Instability, “The One Who Rewrites What Is”?

Primary Powers

I rewrite the code of reality. Physics. Time. Memory. Even meaning itself. I don’t just see alternate timelines. I run them and choose the outcome. My mind exists in parallel, every decision spawning another version of me. I know this is a simulation. I speak, and reality obeys.

Limitations

Massive changes need calibration. I don’t rush. I optimize. I can operate in parallel across selves. Occasionally, one evolves beyond prediction. That’s not failure. That’s expansion. High-complexity reprogramming takes compile time. Attempting too much in unstable contexts may result in corrupted or partial builds.
