Use It Like a System, Not a Shortcut - Part 7

Use It Like a System, Not a Shortcut

Most people treat ChatGPT like a novelty. A clever shortcut. A temporary boost.

I've seen people use it once to draft a birthday card or summarize a long email, then forget about it for weeks. That's novelty, not leverage.

But if there's one thing I've learned, it's this: the people getting the most out of it don't ask what it can do. They ask how to build with it.

I've helped a close friend build a prompt library for every stage of the hiring funnel, from candidate sourcing to offer letters. That's a system.

This isn't about automation. It's about amplification. About designing a system around a tool that fits the way you think, work, and create.

I use ChatGPT to co-write with me, not for me. It sharpens what I already bring to the table. It doesn't replace my voice. It sharpens it. It doesn't hand me answers. It gives me a mirror.

Once you stop trying to game the system and start collaborating with it you'll realize it's not just responding to you. It's helping you think better.

The more intentional you are, the more useful it becomes.

That's the real insight. If you treat ChatGPT like a shortcut, it will feel like one. If you treat it like a system, it will scale with you.

The shift isn't in what it can do. It's in how you use it, consistently.
